First up – a summer refreshing recipe for lemonade.
makes 10 servings
1 quart strawberries, hulled and halved
1 cup fresh lemon juice
4 cups sugar
Lemon slices or whole strawberries to garnish
Place berries in a large saucepan with lemon juice and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool. Strain, pressing with the back of a large spoon to extract juice. Strain again and transfer to refrigerator and chill. Mix one part strawberry syrup with three parts water.
